Cademy is a company providing educational courses for industrial designers to learn design softwares such as Rhinoceros and Grasshopper. They’ve trained teams at Braun, Amazon, Logitech, and many others to push the way products are designed.
The team from Cademy approached us with a vision to transform their previous website into one that made them look, and feel like a well established company in the industry. Their site was initially built in Squarespace as an initial MVP to test their product in the industry, and four years later they amassed tens of thousands of followers across their platforms with fully booked courses months in ahead. To meet their demand and really propel their business to hit their goals, they needed a site that was more versatile, scalable, and better looking.
We touched up their branding to align with that vision and started designing out their site. Their previous site didn’t do the work of their students any justice, which is what their business model revolved around. We changed that. We put the stunning work of their students front and center in a way that visually mesmerizing, but served a purpose to convert new users that were thinking about signing up on the course.
As important as having a visually stunning site was to them, the core of their issues derived from the inability to scale due to their inefficient onboarding/sign up flows to their courses. Previously, users would submit a simple form on their site and the team at Cademy would reach out via email, manually, to send a signup link to the course they inquired about. If a potential client was interested in an advanced course, they then had to take and pass a four question exam, adding an additional step to the process. Our solution was to implement a multi-step form with customized logic to streamline the entire process. Depending on which course they selected, the payment link to register for that course would be provided upon submission. If they signed up for an advanced course, it would then automatically prompt them to take the exam we integrated. This was all done in Webflow with Formly and integrated with their Google Sheets through Make. This saved the team at Cademy hours every week, allowing them to focus more on their business and the value they provide their students.
